Following the merger of two reputable gemstone and jewellery laboratories run by GJEPC, the new brand name is IIGJ-RLC (IIGJ-Research & Laboratories Centre). The Indian Gemmological Institute - Gem Testing Laboratory and Gem Testing Laboratory, respectively, were their previous names (IGI-GTL, Delhi).

IIGJ-RLC has established itself as the top institution in the nation for the IIGJ certification of coloured gemstones, diamonds, and jewellery over the years.
